13 2016 u Vzorkovna ve městě Prague.
This night will kick-start the festival with an array of Prague and international authors thus producing a fascinating translocal fusion.
The line-up features Phil Shoenfelt (US), Thor Garcia (US), Louis Armand (AUS), Markéta Baňková (CZ) and Lou Rowan (US)–all of whom have been fixed personages on the Czech literary scene. Ken Nash’s (US) short movie, “The Silver Leaf,” and Holly Tavel’s (US) short movie will see their world premier at this festival.
The Syndicate is going to perform their brilliant musical improvisation set after the reading block. The band Bagnobox is going to culminate the musical segment with their performance, followed by a jam in a free collaboration with The Syndicate and starring Hafsa Rmich, a jazz improvisator/singer.
Besides this illustrious line-up, you may look forward to an overall video-projection aesthetic backing the main stage and crafted by Elina Osipova. Accompanying video projections will enliven other stages spread across Vzorkovna, curated by Ewelina Chiu; you may expect futher performances, body painting booth, home-made jewellery stands and much more.
Among the offered literature, Equus Press book stand is going to display its many wonderful books of fiction and criticism and numerous literary magazines are going to be available for purchase all round the space of Vzorkovna.
